An external thread processing mould is a flat thread rolling die. Three different types of materials, namely Cr12MoV, DC53, and high speed tool steel, are used to make all flat thread rolling dies. By rolling, grinding, or milling, threads are produced. It is possible to produce flat thread rolling dies with precision classes 1, 2, or 3.
