What is the metal bit of a screwdriver called?

The metal bit of a screwdriver is commonly referred to as the "driver tip" or "driver bit". It is the part of the screwdriver that fits into the head of the screw to turn it. Driver tips come in different shapes and sizes to match the various types of screw heads, such as slotted, Phillips, Torx, and Allen, among others. The quality of the driver bit is important as a poor quality or worn bit may easily slip or damage the screw head, making it difficult to complete the task.
